Have You Been Served?

Are You Being Served? returned for one episode in 2016 on the BBC. There was plans for a series of this one off went well, However it didn't take off with low ratings and more than a few negative reviews. It tried to catch the essence of the original series and match it up with a whole new cast.

The episode is set in 1988, after the original series and before Grace and Favour. The entire floor staff is the same with Captain Peacock as floor walker, Mr Humphries and Mr Grainger behind the men's counter, Miss Brahms and Mrs Slocombe in ladies wear. Also new on the floor is Mr Conway who is the new junior who was hired by Mr Rumbold who is also still head of the floor. Some of the character have changed however, Mr Grace is a young man and actually does things to try and bring the store up to date.

The storyline of this episode is just like any other, an ordinary day on the shop floor for the staff. They deal with Mr Conway having no experience in retail, Mr Humphries wearing his mothers' shoes and Mrs Slocombe having problems with her intimate ladies' wipes!
