Grace&Favour was called Are You Being Served Again? in America and it ran for 2 seasons on 1992 and 1993; seven years after the main series had ended. Many people thought that it's plot was good and the characters where still lovable, but their staff dynamic just didn't work when running a hotel in the country.

The series starts with Mr Grace having died and the staff of the Ladies' and Gents' departments wandering where their pension fund has gone. It turns out the fund has been invested, perhaps unwisely, in a manor house in a place called Great Tender which is deep in the countryside. The remaining staff; Mr Humphries, Mrs Slocombe, Miss Brahms and Captain Peacock wish to see the place where their money is firmly entrenched. But their enthusiasm for taking a trip in the county fades slightly when they find out that Mr Rumbold is currently managing the place.

When the four arrive at the manor they are suitably impressed with how the place looks and how Mr Rumbold has been taking care of everything. Up until the moment they find out that Mr Rumbold has sacked everyone and the hotel is currently devoid of patrons. Through the first season time is spent getting to know the farmer who runs the home farm which is also on the property, Maurice Moulterd and his daughter Mavis, who gets on very well with Mr Humphries when she shares his bed. Also already living there is Miss Lovelock, who Captain Peacock would like to get on well with!
Who's New?
Fleur Bennett
Mavis Moulterd
Mavis was the daughter of Mr Moulterd and worked on her father's farm and as the cook in the manor. As soon as she met him, she formed a strong attachment to Mr Humphries. Every night she slept in the same bed as him and she justified her actions by explaining that she had always slept in the same bed as the chef before he left. Mr Humphries was sleeping in the old chef's room so it made sense for her to keep sleeping in the room but with him. At times he was a little uncomfortable and more than a little confused about her affection towards him. He became more open to her attitude towards him after they had a rather serious talk about how she saw him as more of a brother than as her boyfriend.
Billy Burden
Maurice Moulterd
Mr Moulterd, who sometimes went as Morris managed the home farm that was on the grounds of the manor. He has a supposed previous history with Mrs Slocomb which he seems to remember vividly, however whenever he brings it up she denies everything and says what he says happened during World War Two never actually occurred. He has always been a country lad and his speech style and attitude show this throughout the series. Other than the history with Mrs Slocomb being a sore spot in their relationship, he gets on well with the other residents of the manor.
Joanne Heywood
Jessica Lovelock
Even though she was the nurse attending to Young Mr Grace at the time of his death, it was actually her bikini top falling off that caused the man to have a heart attack and die. She now lives at the manor as Mr Grace allowed her to keep her horses in the stables there. Through the series it was clear that Captain Peacock took a liking to her but it was obvious she would never want to be with him despite her seemingly flirting with him on a number of occasions. She wasn't exactly welcomed as one of the gang and maintained a distance from the rest of the residents.
